Last year, I had the opportunity to review the Turtle Beach Burst II Air, Turtle Beach’s slightly lighter companion to the Burst II Pro. I’ve been using the Air as my daily driver for over a year, and I was pumped to get my hands on the Burst II Pro. I wasn’t disappointed.
Computer mice may not be the most interesting in the world to many. However, to me, they are vital to the way my computer feels. After all, it is one of two primary input devices most of us use daily.
Before I give my final thoughts and opinions, let’s look at the hardware specifications:

What stands out?
The 30K optical sensor is impressive. Turtle Beach claims that it is suitable for almost any surface, including glass. Naturally, I needed to test that. I took the glass side panel off my PC and laid it down. I then proceeded to use the mouse as normal. There was a slight hitch at first, like the sensor was re-tuning itself. After that, it was basically flawless.

There are a couple of other quality of life items that Turtle Beach includes that are not industry standard. They provide extra skates and a grip tape kit. PC gaming is all about customization and I appreciate the effort to let users make the device their own. I added the grip tape to mine and instantly loved it. I went back to my collection of Turtle Beach boxes and added grip tape to some of my other devices. I’m not sure why I had not done this sooner but better late than never!
What is it like to use?
In short, it feels great! The weight is a sweet spot for me. It is noticeably heavier than the Burst II Air when holding them. In practice, the extra weight feels quite nice. From a quality perspective, the tiny bit of extra weight provides a premium feel. This is something we’ve come to expect from our peripherals.
The switches are nice and clicky and the button placement (6) is excellent for most games.
Finally, the battery life has been outstanding. You’ll get the greatest number of hours if you opt for Bluetooth but even using the ultra-low latency wireless option, I’m getting plenty of time out of my Burst II Pro.
Final Thoughts
At $139.99, it offers the same value as many other competitors. It might even offer better value, especially considering the bonuses like extra skates and three connectivity options (wired, BT, Wireless). The Burst II Pro is a serious contender if you’re in the market for an e-Sports grade gaming mouse. It stands out amongst other brands like Razor, Asus, and Logitech.
