Rumor: Sledgehammer Games to Develop Advanced Warfare Era Call of Duty Game

According to credible game industry leaker RalphsValve, The next Call of Duty title developed by Sledgehammer Games will be built in the universe of their Advanced Warfare series using the Infinity Ward-developed IW 9.0 engine that is used by other Activision studios as well, including other Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward and Treyarch. The game is scheduled for release in 2025.

Advanced Warfare was released in 2014 to critical acclaim with an average Metacritic score of 82.
