Review: Legends BMX (Xbox)

Legends BMX is a straightforward, trick-focused BMX game that’s easy to pick up and play, especially for casual players. I highly recommend starting with the tutorial—it does a great job teaching the controls and makes it easy to unlock levels quickly right from the start.

The core gameplay revolves around pulling off tricks using the right and left analog sticks along with the shoulder buttons. The controls are intuitive, and tricks are very easy to execute, making it satisfying to chain moves together without a steep learning curve. The game also keeps things fresh on a weekly basis with fun challenges, and after each round you can immediately see how you stack up on the leaderboard, which adds a competitive edge.

Visually and creatively, the characters are fairly generic, but as you earn points from completing tricks, you can unlock new riders and bikes. The game offers both standard trick runs and a “Time Attack” mode, which plays the same way but adds a time limit for extra pressure.

That said, the biggest downside is the lack of variety. The gameplay never really evolves beyond variations of the same setup. Unlocks and leaderboard placement are the main incentives to keep playing, but the experience doesn’t change or become more interesting over time.

At a price point of $9.99, Legends BMX feels fair for what it offers—simple, accessible trick-based fun with light competition—but players looking for deeper mechanics or evolving gameplay may find it repetitive.Overall: A solid, budget-friendly BMX trick game that’s fun in short bursts, but limited in long-term depth.
