In a 2015 interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, the Founder of 22cans game studio, Peter Molyneux, was verbally ambushed by the interviewer, John Walker.
The interviewer attacked Molyneux from the start with his first question, “Do you think you’re a pathological liar?” Molyneux responded that he wasn’t a liar, but there were things he had promised that, due to unforeseen circumstances, could not be followed through with.
Around the halfway mark of the barrage of attacking questions, the interviewer claimed that his intention wasn’t to call Molyneux out and berate him, the point was to get to the truth. Molyneux’s response?
“if you really want to get to the truth, come down to the studio.” To our knowledge, that visit never happened, and Peter Molyneux didn’t engage in interviews for over a year after that.
