To celebrate the release of Donkey Kong Country HD, here’s a fun fact that readers probably already know; Cranky Kong is the Original Donkey Kong that first appeared in 1981. Cranky Kong makes many references to this, but none other than what he relays to the player upon 100% completing the 1994 16-bit Super Nintendo classic:
“What a player you are, Donkey, my lad! You’ve beaten the Kremlings and found absolutely everything! You’re nearly as good as I used to be!”
