Questioning the Future of Nintendo

What is in store for Nintendo?

Many people have been speculating what the future of Nintendo looks like. Here are some answers to those inquiries.

Nintendo is attending the next PAX East event to let attendees have some quality hands-on time with the new Nintendo 3DS XL, coupled with a plethora of great games.  The following are all of the reported features taking place at PAX East in regards to Nintendo specifically: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and the New Nintendo 3DS XL exclusive, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Code Name S.T.E.A.M. is currently the only one announced to be allowed to the public for playing.

Nintendo will also be showcasing the game Splatoon, a colorful twist on the shooter genre, there as well. Splatoon was previously showcased at last year’s E3, featuring eight players controlling squids to mark their territory in hopes of achieving splattered-paint dominance.

“We love giving our fans an opportunity to check out our latest products at PAX events,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The newly released New Nintendo 3DS XL is sure to be popular with the many showgoers looking for StreetPass tags, and Splatoon will let attendees get their first hands-on experience with one of the year’s most creative games.”

The PAX East event runs March 6-8 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center at 415 Summer St, Boston, Massachusetts.
